Visiting as a Researcher
We are happy to consider hosting visiting researchers where there is strong alignment of research interests for collaboration.
Visitors are offered lab space, IT infrastructure, invitation to CVIP/VAMPIRE meetings and reading groups, meetings with group members, and practical assistance arranging travel and accommodation. Visitors are usually required to find their own funding for their visit and are encouraged to identify a contribution to overhead charges (‘bench fees’). Visitors are typically engaged at a university as either a PhD student, research staff or faculty member.
If you are interested in visiting CVIP, email a CV and a short covering letter to the CVIP academic most closely aligned with your research interests.
Visiting Speakers
We regularly host seminar speakers who give talks on research related to CVIP interests and those of other colleagues in the School and University. Seminars are typically by invitation but if you would like to visit us to give a seminar please feel free to get in touch.
PhD Students
Our community of PhD students forms a vital part of the CVIP group. From time to time funded PhD studentships are available on a competitive basis. We are also happy to receive applications from prospective PhD students who have identified funding for their fees and living expenses. Informal enquiries are welcome.
Masters and Undergraduate Student Projects
All CVIP academics supervise MSc and final year undergraduate computing projects. These are usually closely aligned with CVIP research. Several students have co-authored a publication in the scientific literature as a result of their project. We are happy to discuss potential projects with prospective project students.
